ABOUT US
The Edmonton Padres baseball program is designed for players who want to compete at a higher level and demonstrate a more advanced level of play. AA and AAA teams represent the North East Zone (NEZ) as they compete against teams across the province. To support the players' continued skill development and provide an understanding of high-level competition, the Edmonton Padres teams receive coaching from experienced NCCP-certificated and technically proficient coaches.
The Padres work with the Alberta Amateur Baseball Council (AABC), Baseball Alberta, and Baseball Canada to promote athlete development and enhance opportunities for players, coaches, and the association. They work collaboratively with other baseball associations and academies in the province and western Canada to promote sports excellence for their teams and families.
PADRES VALUES
Our baseball club has six (6) broad expectations of its players, parents and personnel. It is incumbent upon team leaders to set the example and promote these values as integral to the team’s culture:
-
Preparation - Always be as ready as possible for every situation;
-
Accountability - Hold only yourself responsible for your own actions, successes & failures, and expect teammates to do the same;
-
Determination - Padres persist in the face of adversity, as our culture encourages learning growth & learning through failure;
-
Respect - We aim to be the class of every league in the way we treat each other, those we compete against, those officiating our games, and everyone else in and around the game;
-
Effort - When our best effort is called upon, that is what we deliver;
-
Support - Truly successful teams commit to helping and backing each other up without question and setting ego aside.
